Chocolate float keyboard
Advantage:Cool appearance Disadvantage: The keycap stability is not enough, keycaps can be easily bumped.      The floating keyboard was brought up by Acer Timeline series. The keyboard is floated structured with chocolate keycaps. Actually, keycaps of floating keyboard are flat, while keycaps of isolating keyboards are cubical. That's the reason why there is no need for groove on the floating bottom to match with the keycaps.     Floating keyboard is very cool. The surface is flat and the supporting point is under the keycap, giving the feeling that the keycaps are floating above the tablet.This special scientific structure makes the special touch feeling. The keycaps will be highly sensitive with light click force.  There are also disadvantages with the floating keyboard. The gap between the keycaps and bottom space makes it easily fill with dust and other dirties, which is hard to clean. Once big things get in the keyboard, the keycaps will be stuck.         
Crater architecture keyboard
    Generally speaking, people care about the keyboard price, appearance and keycaps layout, few will focus on the keyboard architecture. Customers are not clear with the thin film keyboard architecture. The crater architecture, X architecture and scissors architecture often make customers confused and cost them much money.  Traditional Crater Architecture Traditional Crater Architecture keycap About 80% keyboards on the market are based on the crater architecture becasue the price is competitvely lower and the design is simpler. Due to the long key travel of the crater keyboard, the crater design can not be used on the thin keyboard.  The ultrathin keycaps on the traditional crater architecture Currently, there are two types of crater keyboard, the first one is tradional crater architecture. The other one is updated crater architecture which was called chute-type crater architecture.  Chute-type Crater architecture keyboard The traditional architecture keyboard was fixed by two slots combined with four support points . It accounts for 70% in the crater architecture keyboard. Although the cost is low, the keycaps are easily drop or stuck. The keyboard get old and slow after long time typing.   Chute-type Crater architecture keycap The keycaps get improved in the chute-type crater architecture. The number of slots are added to be four and supports points to be four. Compared with the traditional one, the chute-type has higher stability, the keycaps are not easily droped. So, the cost is higher. 
Film keyboard X structure analysis
    According to different key structures, the thin film keyboards can be divided into three types, namly Crater, Pillar and Scissor. Scissor were first used in the personal computer keyboard. Due to the good touch feeling, manfacturers move it to the desktop computer and high and mid end products. The keyboard with scissors are of high stability, high speed kick-back and the force is balanced.  The scissor's structure is as followed:     1, There is X-like holder under the scissor keycap. Combined with the silica rubber, the holder support the keycap. The bottom support points are located around the four keycap corners, which makes the keyboard with high stability. There is no unbalanced force or keycap stick when pressing the keycaps at any point with fixed force.     2, There is huge difference with scissor keyboard and crater, pillar keyboards. The force in pressing the key is bigger than the other two keyboards. When the force is enough to get the key work, the key will go down quickly to touch the bottom. There is no interruption. When letting off the key, it will be bounch up quickly to satisfy customers who are fond of playing games.      3,The structure of scissors is comparatively complecated. So, the cost is higher than common keyboard. It is worthwhile as the keyboard has excellent touch feeling. Please pay attention that the key travel of the scissors keyboard is short, say 2-2.5mm. Some users can not get used to it. 
What is a pair of scissors foot keyboard?
1,What is Scissors foot keyboard Scissors foot keyboard is also called “ X-structure” keyboard, which refers to the structure under the key is “X-shaped”. The advantages of scissors foot keyboard are as follows: 1, The height of the keycap: The average height of traditional desktop computer keyboard keycap module is 20mm and notebook computer is 6mm, while “X-structure” is 10mm. Owning to the advantage of “X-structure”, the keycap height was reduced to be almost the same with notebook computer, that’s the prerequisite of “X-structure” keyboard becomes the ultra slim keyboard.     2, key travel Every coin has its two sides. Key travel is an important parameter of keyboard and decides on the touch feeling of the keyboard. According to the previous experience, reduce the keycap height can lower the key travel. Although the notebook keys are soft, the touch feeling can still be not good due to the short key travel. The traditional desktop keycaps’ key travel is generally accepted by customers. The desktop key travel is 3.8-4.0mm, while the notebook key travel is 2.5-3.0mm. “X-structure” keyboard inherits the key travel from desktop keyboard. The touch feeling is as comfortable as notebook keyboard. 3 Click force:  When you click the keycap from five different points, namely the top left corner, the top right corner, the bottom left corner, the bottom right corner and the center, you will find keycap instability from different click points. That’s the disadvantage of traditional keyboard. It needs big click force but unstable, causing hands fatigue. The balanced “X-structure” ensures the click force consistency. It makes the force shared on every pint, which is small and balanced. “X-structure” is comfortable with good touch feeling.   4,key-pressing noise: The key-pressing noise of “X-structure” is 45, that’s 2~11dB lower than traditional keyboard.
